Ring Size Guide, How to Measure at Home
Wrap a strip of paper around the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure it in millimetres. That number is your EU size. We sell EU 48 to 67. Between two sizes, take the larger.
How to measure with a paper strip
It takes two minutes and needs a ruler, scissors and any sheet of paper.
- Cut a strip about 1 cm wide and long enough to go round the finger with some to spare.
- Wrap it round the base of the finger you will actually wear the ring on. Snug, not tight. You should be able to slide it.
- Mark the point where the strip overlaps its own end.
- Unwrap it and measure from the end to the mark, in millimetres.
- That measurement is the EU size. A finger measuring 56 mm around takes EU 56.
Measure the same finger two or three times across a day. Fingers change size with temperature and with the time of day, so do not trust a single reading.
How to measure from a ring you already own
Lay a ring that fits the right finger flat, measure the inner diameter in millimetres across the widest point, and multiply by 3.14. That gives the inner circumference, which is the EU size.
Be careful about which finger the old ring belongs to. A ring that fits your right hand will usually be loose on your left, and the two hands are rarely the same.

These are the sizes we work with. Nothing here is rounded or interpolated, so if a size you want is not in this table, it is not a size we sell.

If you are between sizes, round up
A ring that is slightly loose turns on the finger and is mildly irritating. A ring that is slightly tight cannot be put on at the end of a warm day, and it is the one that never gets worn.
Rounding up is also the right call in these cases.
- Wide bands. A broad band covers more of the finger and sits tighter than a narrow one at the same nominal size.
- Prominent knuckles. The ring has to pass the knuckle, so measure over the knuckle as well as at the base and take the larger reading.
- Cold hands when you measure. Fingers are at their smallest when cold, so measure warm.
Which sizes we stock
The full range runs from EU 48 to EU 67, but no single ring is made in every size in that range. Sizes are set per style.
The men's styles are stocked in EU 56, 60, 62 and 67. That covers the gold stamp ring and the rest of the men's rings, which are built as heavier bands.
The women's styles are finer and start smaller. Several are stocked in EU 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60, including the Soleil ring. Others are made in EU 54 and 56 only. The available sizes are listed on each product page in the women's rings collection, and that page is the one to trust rather than this paragraph.
How to buy a ring as a gift
Ask directly, or buy the piece and plan for an exchange. The common tricks are unreliable.
Borrowing a ring works only if you know which finger it belongs to. Guessing from hand size does not work at all. Measuring someone else's finger without them noticing is harder than it sounds.
An exchange is possible within 60 days of delivery, subject to availability, on the same conditions as a return. The piece has to come back unworn and complete in its original packaging with the pouch. You pay the postage to send the original back, the first exchange on an order ships out to you free, and any further exchange on the same order costs EUR 10.00 within Germany, EUR 15.00 in the rest of the EU, and 10 to 18 USD elsewhere depending on destination. Any price difference is settled by payment link or refund.
We do not offer an engraving service at the moment, so there is no made to order step to plan around, and every ring is a stock item that can be exchanged.
If the size is wrong when it arrives
Try it on with clean, dry hands and do not force it. A ring that has been forced over a knuckle shows it, and a return has to be unworn, unused, with no scratches or signs of wear, tags and seals intact.
You have 60 days from delivery to return a piece under our voluntary policy. In the EU, EEA, UK and Turkey the statutory 14 day right of withdrawal applies as well and is not limited by that policy. Email support@atoliovegas.de with your order number, we reply within 24 hours with the return address, and the parcel goes back to the carrier within 14 days. Return shipping is paid by you, except where there is a manufacturing defect or a recognised warranty claim, in which case we cover it.
Once a return arrives, checking takes up to 10 business days and the refund follows within 14 days to the original payment method in the original currency, with no refund fee. Full detail is on the FAQ page.
Every ring we make is 316L stainless steel, with the gold versions 18k gold plated over that same steel, so a ring that fits will not mark your finger green. Jewellery carries our lifetime warranty against tarnishing, fading and accidental breakage.
